Marta's
Marta Espregueira Mendes graduated in Interior Design, in Paris, having focused on architecture and interior decoration with the foundation in 1997 of Marta’s – Architecture and Decoration company.
Established in Porto (Portugal) she currently carries out projects all over the country and also across borders, standing out for the search for integration between classic and contemporary, in a combination that is anything but minimalist, having thus conquered its audience and attracted attention in countries like the United States of America.
“The truth is that I never dreamed of reaching the point where we are today. The initial idea was to create a unique and different concept. From the beginning, I believed it would work well, but not at this breakneck pace. I always loved interior decoration and decided to take a risk, trying to do a job that I love. Francisca Espregueira Mendes initially graduated in Marketing Management in order to increase her cross-sectional understanding of the market, having completed her first internship at Marta’s – Architecture and Decoration in 2015. Later she completed her master’s degree in Interior Design at ESAD, investing then in her vocation: “I was born in the midst of a frantic change of room layouts; the color of the walls; the order of sofas; the exhibition of paintings, among many others …”
Since she was a little girl, given her mother’s professional activity, she followed her constant evolution closely, gradually increasing her curiosity for “turnkey” projects, for the understanding of customers and of all the methods to achieve their satisfaction. She has always been fascinated with interior design, the chance to combine architectural remodeling with work monitoring, with base decoration and also the choice of antiques, paintings and unique, signed pieces of art.
